This week my second grader, Caroline (age 7), joined me to take on a big topic: why a strategic plan matters. We supplemented our chat with some extra definitions and context to make it kid-friendly—and useful for grown-ups, too.

Caroline kept it light and a little silly, but she also reminded me of something essential: when everyone understands the plan, we can work together and do better—for schools, for teachers, and most importantly, for kids.
